I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 18 years experience helping people to make positive changes in their lives. I have received training in a number of different therapy modalities, to include cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness. It is my belief that therapy should be collaboratively tailored to you as a unique individual. As such, I draw from these different modalities to provide individualized psychotherapy aimed at providing both current relief and lasting change.
In addition to my work at my private practice, I am active in professional organizations dedicated to promoting the field of psychology and the delivery of psychological services to the public. I hold memberships in the American Psychological Association, the Virginia Psychological Association, and the Virginia Academy of Clinical Psychologists. I am the past Vice President of the Northern Virginia Academy of Clinical Psychologists, and also previously served as the Academy’s Continuing Education Chairperson. Additionally, I served as a member of the Virginia Psychological Association’s Psychologically Healthy Workplace Committee. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1998 from George Mason University, following completion of an internship at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA.
